Day 1- Delhi to Shimla

Take an early train from Delhi to Kalka. From Kalka you’ll catch the famous ‘toy’ train, marvel of engineering a narrow gauge railway built at the turn of the 20th Century and recognized by UNESCO as one of India’s great mountain railways. Marvel at the spectacular views over the foothills of the Himalayas as you ascend to majestic Shimla. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2 Glimpses of Shimla

This morning after breakfast we will explores the “Jewel of Orient” by heritage walk. A Walk over the Shimla’s main spur will display some of Shimla’s finest colonial structure (Christ Church, Gaiety Theatre, Town Hall, Railway Building, Gorton Castle and Vice regal Lodge). Those who has entered at all deeply in the engrossing history of the British, their development and settlement in Shimla, this is the most interesting and attractive walk for them. The entire length of this Heritage walk comes under Shimla’s Heritage Zone which still holds the memory of British imperial dream. The rest of the day is free for you to explore further or to relax at your leisure.

Day 3 Excursion to Kufri, Narkanda (Hattu Peak) and Apple Country

This morning we will proceed to full day sightseeing tour to the countryside or villages in inner Shimla Narkanda (Hattu Peak) and Apple Country. Enroute visit Kufri, Fagu, and Matiana which are a part of the timeless tranquility of the Himalayas.  Post lunch discover the Narkanda, Hattu Peak (Temple) and the beautiful apple orchards valleys. Kotagrah where you will be welcomed with a host of apple trees that is this trend was started by Samuel Evans Stokes. He was an American who made Barobag Hill his resident and called it Harmony Hall. While in HP a visit to these beautiful apple gardens is a must as here you can get to know more about the cultivation process along with enjoying the panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges at the backdrop. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4 Hiking and Trailing Around Shimla

Glorified in history, the erstwhile summer capital of India during “The Raj”, Shimla is derived by a Sanskrit word “Shyamla” a synonym of goddess Kali in blue, also its former name when discovered by the British in 1819. Spanning seven hills, are the  ideal treat to discover the Shimla by Hiking and Trailing(Prospect, Observatory, Elysium, Jakhoo, Strawberry, Summerhill, Inverarm) besides these trailing location Mashobra, Sanctuary Catchment Area and Tara Devi with their lush green meadows, pine forests, Himalayan cedar, oak and rhododendron trees  offers a luxury that is priceless. A Day walks in the Shimla hills are resonating and the eyes get a chance to feast on the scenic vistas, sample the hill culture and the simplicity of the hill folk, a hiker’s paradise.

Day 5 departure to Chandigarh/ Delhi

This morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Chandigarh for your onward journey.
