Himachal Delight( Shimla-Manali & Dharamshala)

( Discover Shimla-Manali-Dharmshala) 9 Nights and 10 days

Day 01: Chandigarh – Shimla (370 km/ 9-10 hrs)

Take an early train from Delhi to Kalka. From Kalka you’ll catch the famous ‘toy’ train, marvel of engineering a narrow gauge railway built at the turn of the 20th Century and recognized by UNESCO as one of India’s great mountain railways. Marvel at the spectacular views over the foothills of the Himalayas as you ascend to majestic Shimla.  OR Arrive at Chandigarh airport/ railway station Pick up and travel to Shimla by surface, the former summer capital of British India and now the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Set amidst the snow-capped Shivalik mountain ranges it offers some stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2 Glimpses of Shimla

This morning after breakfast You will explores the “Jewel of Orient” by heritage walk. A Walk over the Shimla’s main spur will display some of Shimla’s finest colonial structure (Christ Church, Gaiety Theatre, Town Hall, Railway Building, Gorton Castle and Vice regal Lodge).Those who has entered at all deeply in the engrossing history of the British, their development and settlement in Shimla, this is the most interesting and attractive walk for them. The entire length of this Heritage walk comes under Shimla’s Heritage Zone which still holds the memory of British imperial dream. OR you can use the car to explore Shimla. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 Excursion to Mashobra, Naldehra and Kufri

This morning we will visit to Kufri which is a part of the timeless tranquillity of the Himalayas. It offers a Kaleidoscope of some of nature’s finest landscapes, providing a bouquet of rare and exotic scenery, tranquillity and serenity in a secluded and very personalized location. At kufri we will visit to ,Nature Park, Indira point and Fun World.

Post lunch we explore Mashobra and Naldehra which is home to the oldest golf course in India. This nine hole par 68 course is considered one of the most challenging courses in India. Lord Curzon, Governor General and Viceroy of India (1899-1905) had this course built at the turn of the 19th Century.

Day 4 Shimla to Dharmshala.

In the morning after breakfast drive to Dharmshala, the town once settled by the British, today is the seat of Dalai Lama and his Government in exile. . The view of Dhauladhar ranges of Himalaya from Dharmahsla is eye-catching. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5 Excursion to Kangra Fort and Masrur Rock cut Temple.

In the morning after breakfast drive to Kangra Fort and Masrur Rock cut temple. The temples were carved out of monolithic rock, also referred to as the Ajanta of Himalayas are an early 8th-century complex of rock-cut Hindu temples in the Kangra Valley. They are a version of North Indian Nagara architecture style, dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, Devi and Saura traditions of Hinduism.

The Kangra Fort was built by the royal Rajput family of Kangra State (the Katoch dynasty), which traces its origins to the ancient Trigarta Kingdom, mentioned in the Mahabharata epic. It is the largest fort in the Himalayas and probably the oldest dated fort in India. post lunch free time to explore dharmshala city. ovrnight stay at hotel.

Day 6 Dharmshala City Tour

In the morning after breakfast get ready to visit mini “Lhasa of India” Dharamshala and home of his holiness Dalai Lama. Enroute visit Chamunda Devi temple. In the afternoon visit  Mcleodganj, Dal Lake, Dalai lama temple, Bhagsu Nag, Naddi & Church. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 7 Dharmshala, Palampur and  Manali.

In the morning after breakfast get ready to explore “Tea Valley” Palampur and Bir-Billing the popular destination for paragliding . On the way see Joginder nagar Valley and visit Baijnath temple. Reach Manali in the evening and check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08:- Manali – Rohtang / Snow point & Solang valley excursion

In the morning proceed to visit the Rohtang pass (Up to Snow line during winter/due to heavy snowfall), which simply offers a panoramic view of mountains rising far above the clouds. Afternoon visit Solang valley (a famous picnic spot & ski resort in winter). Enjoy Skiing, Snowboarding (in Winters), Rope way ride and Paragliding (at your own/ extra cost). Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 09:  Naggar & Local sightseeing)

In the morning, after breakfast proceed to visit the 500 years old  Naggar Castle, the official seat of kings for centuries and Nicolas Roriech art Gallery where you find paintings of Russian painter Nicholas & are said to have hypnotic expression.  Afternoon return back to Manali and proceed to Visit the 450 years old Hadimba Devi Temple, the oldest temple in Manali, Club House, Tibetan monastery and  Vashisht village, known for its hot Sulpher springs. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 Departure to Chandigarh.
